The England midfielder spent six months in Saudi Arabia as part of a three-year contract
33-year-old England midfielder Jordan Henderson reached an agreement with Al-Ittifaq about early termination three year contract. It is reported that in the near future the midfielder will sign a full agreement with Ayak.
It is noted that representatives of the player and the Saudi club are completing legal formalities, and the player himself has already left the team and flown to England.
Henderson signed a three-year contract with Al Ittifaq last summer after 12 seasons at Liverpool. The midfielder reacted sharply to the criticism, saying that he wanted new challenges and participation in building a new league and club.
Henderson made 17 appearances in the Saudi Pro League for Al-Ittifaq, scoring no goals but providing four assists. Al Ittifaq, currently managed by Steven Gerrard, are eighth in the table, 28 points behind the leaders.
