The contract with the experienced midfielder was signed until the end of 2025
Kharkovsky Metalist 1925 announced signing a contract with the 29-year-old Ukrainian midfielder Vladlen Yurchenko. The agreement between the clubs and the midfielder will be valid at least until the end of 2025.
Yurchenko’s last club was Vorskla, for which he played from September 2022 to January 2024. The Poltava club and the football player terminated the contract by mutual agreement of the parties.
Recently, former Vorskla coach Viktor Skripnik became the head coach of Metalist 1925. For Skripnik and Yurchenko, the Kharkov team is the third in which they will collaborate. Previously, Vladlen performed under the leadership of Skripnik both in Zarya (2019 – 2021) and in Vorskla. During his stay at the Poltava club, the midfielder played 31 matches, scored three goals, and gave one assist. In Metalist 1925, Yurchenko will wear number 80.
Metalist 1925 finished the first part of the 2023/2024 championship in 12th place, one point ahead of the play-off zone. In the first round after the winter break, Metalist 1925 will play against Dynamo in a nominally home match. The base date for the meeting is February 24.
