Russian swimmers have not submitted applications to participate in the World Aquatics Championships in Doha, a source close to the matter told .

To apply, you first had to obtain neutral status. Then receive admission and a request to participate. But registration applications, which are submitted by athletes individually and privately, have not been submitted for the World Championships. The deadline was January 16.

Swimmers, in addition to open water, can qualify for the Olympic Games without this start over certain distances. Participation in the relay races in neutral status was impossible due to the recommendations of the International Olympic Committee.

The FINA World Aquatics Championships will be held in Doha from February 2 to 18.
