The parties must agree to hold the fight within 30 days
W.B.A. appointed Congolese heavyweight boxer Martin Bakole (20-1, 15 KO) eliminator fight with American Cassius Cheney (23-1, 16 KOs).
The parties are required to agree on holding the fight within the next 30 days. In case of non-approval of the fight, the event organizer will be determined at the promotional auction.
It is not reported what status this fight will have. Theoretically, the winner of the Bakole-Chaney meeting can qualify for both a fight with Ukrainian Alexander Usik (WBA Super belt) and a fight with WBA Regular belt holder Mahmoud Charr.
Bakole defeated Carlos Takam in a boxing event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia last October. Chaney had his last fight in November in the USA, where he defeated former WBA World champion Trevor Bryan.
