Qatar beat Tajikistan minimally and advanced to the playoffs of the 2023 Asian Cup

Afif’s winning goal was his third in the tournament

Qatar beat with a minimal score Tajikistan in the second round match Asian Cup 2023 – 1:0.

Akram Afif scored the only and winning goal in the 17th minute. With three goals, the Qatari forward is the tournament’s top scorer.

Overall, Qatar had a noticeable advantage and deservedly took the game to victory. Tajikistan finished the match with ten men after defender Amadoni Kamolov was sent off.

The victory allowed the reigning Asian champion to win Group A ahead of schedule and become the first participant in the 1/8 finals of the 2023 Asian Cup.

In the third round, Qatar will play against China, which drew both their matches with a score of 0:0. Tajikistan will face off against Lebanon – both teams have one point each and so far no goals scored.
