Wilder wants to fight Usyk-Joshua winner

The second fight between Usyk and Joshua will take place on August 20 in Saudi Arabia

Former World Heavyweight Champion Deontay Wilder (42-2, 41 KOs) ready to fight the winner of the rematch between Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk and Briton Anthony Joshua.

“Deontay’s rival? Maybe the winner of the rematch between Usyk and Joshua. We’ll have to see what happens in this fight,” said Wilder’s manager Shelly Finkel.

“If Fury wants to fight the winner of Usyk-Joshua, then he will get this fight. Who are the best fighters right now? There are only four true elite boxers in the heavyweight division. It’s Usyk, Joshua, Fury and Deontay.”

Wilder plans to return to the ring after two defeats from Tyson Fury: in 2020, the American lost the WBC championship belt to his opponent, and last fall he failed to return him in a rematch.

One of the possible rivals of Deontay was Finn Robert Helenius. The fight between them could take place in October 2022.

The second fight between Usyk and Joshua will take place on August 20 in Saudi Arabia. The fight will be broadcast live on the DAZN streaming platform.

Last fall, Usyk defeated Joshua by unanimous decision to become world heavyweight champion for the first time.
