Athletistic/Esports. The International Esports Federation IESF has decided to temporarily suspend membership in the Russian Computer Sports Federation after a complaint from the Ukrainian Esports Federation. The sanctions were introduced after the opening of FKR branches in Lugansk and Donetsk in response to interference in the internal affairs of the Ukrainian Esports Federation.

The IESF underlined its commitment to peace and unity by actively supporting democratic processes within the organization and protecting the rights of athletes. The sanctions will be in effect until the General Assembly, where the members of the federation will make a final decision on the future status of the FCC of Russia – either the suspension will be extended, or they will be reinstated as members of the organization .

Russian esports players will retain the opportunity to participate in international tournaments under the auspices of the IESF as neutral participants. These restrictions will not affect their participation in other competitions, including commercial tournaments on Dota 2, CS:GO and other disciplines.
