The Dutch club will not have the option to buy the player
Midfielder Dynamo Justin Lonwijk rented by the Dutch Fortuna (Sittard). The player will spend the second part of the season in Fortuna, but the club will not have the option to buy out Justin’s contract.
In July 2023, Lonwijk left for Anderlecht on a one-year loan, but the Belgian club is not interested in working with the player. According to Dynamo President Igor Surkis, the midfielder left Ukraine due to fear of war. For the Brussels club, Lonwijk came on as a substitute only three times, playing a total of about 40 minutes.
The Dutch footballer moved to Dynamo in the summer of 2022 from the Danish Viborg. In the 2022/23 season, Lonwijk played 18 matches for the white-blues in the UPL, in which he scored one goal and provided one assist. His contract with the Kyiv club runs until 2027.
Fortuna are 11th in the Dutch top flight, three points adrift of the Conference League play-off zone.
