— We organized a training camp with the Chinese team, they are in good shape – they just returned from a training camp in Hungary. It was very useful for us to play against a team on the move, physically strong and technically prepared. Such a team is a good examiner. Every evening there were matches, three of them official, with anthems, cheers and spectators. We won the first 9:8, lost the second. We won the third with a difference of five goals. It was important for us to make sure we made the right choice in rejuvenating the team. We are not wasting time and in five years we will be able to put together a new team for the 2028 Olympic Games. I am satisfied with the result, the quality of the game and the fact that I had the opportunity to see the young people who showed their best team. The Chinese forced a tough fight and tried to physically influence our young people with a rough game, but we responded adequately.
