Norwegian skier Eric Valnes won the sprint race in classic style at the fifth stage of the World Cup in Oberhof (Germany).
In the final, he covered the distance in 2 minutes 42.75 seconds. His compatriots won silver and bronze Ansgar Evensen (+0.40) and Even Northug (+3.31).
In the women’s race, all prizes were won by representatives of Sweden.
The victory was won by Lynn Swan, who covered the distance in 3 minutes 4.05 seconds. Frida Karlsson was second (+0.33), followed by Jonna Sundling (+2.06).
Russian skiers do not participate in competitions under the auspices of the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) due to the situation in Ukraine.
