Fans on social networks have criticized the decision of the organizers of the Russian show jumping championship to sonically mark the falls of skaters.
On Friday, during the qualifying competitions on the ice of the CSKA Arena, during each fall of an athlete, short sounds can be heard going off in the arena.
– This is simply disgusting! “I don’t know how to prepare for the next jumps after this,” one fan wrote.
– Terribly boring! – says another comment.
– It’s offensive and frivolous. “I don’t understand who came up with this idea and who approved it,” another fan admitted.
“Sounds as ridiculous as clown shows in a circus,” notes another message.
The Russian Show Jumping Championship takes place from January 19 to 21 in Moscow.
