Ukrainian tennis player Nadezhda Kichenok left Australian Open 2024losing in the 1/16 finals of the mixed doubles.
Paired with Argentinean Maximo Gonzalez, the Ukrainian lost to the tandem of Yana Sizikova / Jamie Murray (- / Great Britain).
Nadezhda and Maximo lost twice on their serve in each of the two sets – and in the end managed to take only four games in the entire game.
Earlier, the Ukrainian paired with American Danielle Collins failed to make it to the second round of the doubles of the Australian major.
Let us remind you that Nadezhda’s sister Lyudmila Kichenok, in company with Elena Ostapenko (Latvia), managed to make it to the 1/8 finals of the doubles at AO-2024. In the men’s doubles bracket, a similar achievement was achieved by Denis Molchanov, who, paired with Serbian Nikola Cacic, achieved a sensational victory over the first seeded duo.
