The head coach of the Russian women’s water polo team, Sergei Markoch, believes that the European Water Polo Championship was spectacular, but with the Russian team the tournaments will become even more attractive.
Russian water polo players have been suspended from participating in international competitions. Earlier this year, the team held a training camp in China.
— We are planning other trips in the near future. Last year we managed to play Greece. Maybe we’ll repeat something like that. We are waiting for an invitation. In the meantime, there will be tournaments and training camps on federal bases. The team is preparing for the 2028 Games.
