Nazar Voloshin: In individual conversations Shovkovsky sets Grealish as an example for me, and with his appointment the team has become calmer

An assessment of the work of the new Dynamo coach from a white-blue player

Winger Dynamo Nazar Voloshin explained in an interview with Sport Arena TV, what is the difference in the training approaches of the ex-mentor of the white-blues Mircea Lucescu and current team coach Alexander Shovkovsky.

“I was glad when Dynamo brought me back from loan [в Кривбассе]. I am from Dynamo, went through the academy, was in the U-19, and wanted to play in the club’s first team. Lucescu used to take me to training camps and training sessions so that I could see what adult football was like. I understood that he doesn’t see me in the first team right now. I can’t say that I wasn’t ready, I felt that I could play, he just didn’t see me in the lineup.”

“Now that I returned to Dynamo, we talked to him. He gathered young players and said: “If you see yourself with the first team, you should not be afraid. You are the starting players.”

“Shovkovsky tries to talk to everyone, give advice, explain what is right to do and what is not. I really enjoy working with him. It is easier to work with him and understand him. Lucescu probably didn’t need communication with the team: I was taken from the loan, someone else came – the team is new. Communication was needed.”

“Shovkovsky, in individual conversations, gives me Grealish as an example. Showed me how he acts in certain situations. It’s nice that he makes such an emphasis and helps me. And overall the team is calmer.”

Nazar Voloshin played 16 matches for Dynamo in all competitions this season, scoring six goals and providing one assist. After the first part of the championship, the Kiev club is in fifth place, six points behind Krivbass, but with three games in hand. In the first match after the break, Dynamo will play away against Metalist 1925. The base date of the match is February 24.
