Figure skater Dmitri Kozlovsky, whose team won the Russian show jumping championship, said he would have accepted the judge’s challenge to review the element if he had doubts about the cleanliness of his opponent’s jump.

On Saturday, Kozlovsky’s team won the team tournament of the Russian Show Jumping Championship. She was represented by: Margarita Bazylyuk, Sofia Muravyova, Maria Gordeeva, Lev Lazarev, Evgeny Semenenko, Ivan Popov, Dmitry Aliev, Ekaterina Chikmareva/Matvey Yanchenkov, Alexandra Boykova/Dmitry Kozlovsky.

— How do you like refereeing? Alexandra Boykova could be heard asking why Adelia Petrosyan wasn’t undershot. Would you like to introduce challenges, like in tennis or volleyball for example, with the aim of revising an opponent’s element?

— The arbitration was fair. Special situation with Adelia: her movements took place in front of our box. It was clear it was missing spin, so they fixed it. I would take the challenge if I had doubts about the cleanliness of my opponent’s jump.

— Do you like the idea that Anastasia Mishina and Alexandra Boykova will become captains next time?

— If it turns out that Sasha and Nastya will be captains, it will be a different experience. The girls interpret their vision of the tournament and the captaincy differently from us. I think it will be more difficult to give advice. Sasha is independent, strong and would decide everything herself, ”reports the correspondent of , reporting Kozlovsky’s words.

The prize money of the team tournament amounted to eight million rubles, of which five went to the winning team.
