The Old Lady took the lead in Serie A for at least a week
Juventus won a major victory over Lecce in the 21st round away match Serie A – 3:0.
The hosts fought on equal terms with the favorite for quite a long time. The first half did not bring any goals, but after the break Juve striker Dusan Vlahovic had the decisive word. He secured victory for his team with two accurate shots in the 59th and 68th minutes.
The Serbian striker has found incredible form, scoring a double for the second matchday in a row and scoring five goals in his last five league games. With 11 goals, he is second in the list of scorers after Lautaro Martinez.
Towards the end of the match, Juventus brought the score to a devastating one – defender Bremer scored from a pass from Samuel Ayling.
The victory allowed the Old Lady to score 52 points and get ahead of Inter, which is missing this round due to being busy in the Super Cup. Thus, Massimiliano Allegri’s team will remain at the top of the table at least until the end of next week. Lecce, with only a point from four matches, remained 14th.
On Saturday, January 27, Juventus will host Empoli. Lecce will face Genoa the next day.
