Figure skater Dmitri Kozlovsky who acted as captain of the “blues” at the team tournament of the Russian show jumping championship, told how he decided on the composition.

On Saturday, Kozlovsky’s team won the team tournament of the Russian Show Jumping Championship. She was represented by: Margarita Bazylyuk, Sofia Muravyova, Maria Gordeeva, Lev Lazarev, Yevgeny Semenenko Ivan Popov, Dmitry Aliev, Ekaterina Chikmareva/Matvey Yanchenkov, Alexandra Boykova/Dmitry Kozlovsky.

— What was it like for you as captain? How did you decide on the composition?

— We determined the team’s performance, who would play and where. I tried to calculate different layouts depending on the draw. I understood approximately who would take whom, the leaders were visible based on the results of the personal tournament. Initially, Zhenya Semenenko was present in my last round, but he himself asked me to include him earlier. Here we had to think and count. The result was a gold medal, the result of my creativity and the advice of the team,” reports the correspondent of , according to Kozlovsky’s words.

The prize money of the team tournament amounted to eight million rubles, of which five went to the winning team.
