Andrey Shevchenko plans to reduce the staff of the Association’s top managers in his new position
Head coach of the Ukrainian national team Sergey Rebrov may become one of the vice presidents Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) after election Andrey Shevchenko new head.
It is reported that Shevchenko also plans to reduce the staff of the Association’s top managers. There will be only one first vice president and three to five vice presidents responsible for different areas of work.
On December 12, Andrei was officially nominated as a candidate for the post of president of the UAF. The ex-coach of the Ukrainian national team accepted the offer to run for a responsible post, taking time to prepare a program and select a team.
Shevchenko’s candidacy was supported by at least 19 permanent collective members of the organization out of 27 (and according to Vice-President Vadim Kostyuchenko – 23). Shevchenko himself will be the only and uncontested candidate in the election of the head of the UAF.
The UAF Executive Committee officially approved the holding of the Extraordinary Congress of the UAF on January 25, 2024. The meeting will take place in the Kiev House of Football, starting at 12:00. The congress agenda was approved in advance, one of the items of which is “On the election of the UAF President.”
