“I’m more or less familiar with the storyline. It was compiled from the book ‘Tear of a Champion,’ and everything in it is believable. I don’t know what the end result will be, because I don’t know I didn’t take part in the filming of the film myself. I don’t even know how athletic I am. My career is cinema. But, in addition to sporting achievements, cinema is also interested in human experiences.
I read the script in general terms. Somewhere I expressed comments, doubts and suggestions. But it’s a feature film – an independent creative moment,” Rodnina quotes Sport24.
The release of the film about the life of Irina Rodnina is scheduled for the second half of 2024. The film now has the working title “Rodnina”.
Irina Rodnina, in addition to three victories at the Olympic Games, is a 10-time world champion in pair skating. She is currently 74 years old.
