“Of course we want to go to the 2026 Olympics, but we are not thinking about it now” – Anastasia Mishina

Figure skater Anastasia Michina practicing pair skating with Alexander Galliamov broadcast on the Telegram channel, said that the duo would like to participate in the 2026 Olympic Games in Italy, but for now they are focusing on the upcoming competitions.

This season, Mishina and Gallyamov won gold at the Russian Championship and also won two stages of the Russian Grand Prix. At the Russian Show Jumping Championship in Moscow, they took third place.

– Everyone would like to go there. No one wants the Olympics to be a big vacation for all sports,” Gallyamov noted.

– Of course, we want to go, but now we no longer think about it, we train, we prepare for the next competitions, at the start of the season we generally know our schedule. We are preparing for what we have planned,” Mishina said.

Mishina and Gallyamov are world and European champions, Olympic champions in the team tournament.

Russian figure skaters have been suspended from participating in competitions held under the auspices of the International Skating Union (ISU) due to the situation in Ukraine.
