Aston Martin plans to raise over £600m in investment

Aston Martin wants to challenge F1 leaders Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull

Formula 1 Team Aston Martin will be supported by new investments from the sovereign wealth fund Saudi Arabia.

Team boss Lawrence Stroll called it a “game-changing event”.

The team announced plans for a new “equity financing and strategic investment” from the Saudi Arabian State Investment Fund. This fund is the owner of the oil company Aramco, which already sponsors Aston Martin.

In general, the team is going to raise from various sponsors 653 million pounds and compete for the status of one of the leaders in Formula 1. And this, in turn, will be an active promotion of the iconic British brand Aston Martin on the market.

Recall that the racer Aston Martin Sebastian Vettel spoke at the Austrian Grand Prix in a helmet dedicated to bees.
