The French star’s entourage insists on a salary of 70 million euros excluding commissions, Perez is unlikely to be ready to satisfy these requests
According to German media reports, the forward Paris Saint-Germain Kylian Mbappe finally decided on his future. From the summer of 2024 he wants to play for real Madrid.
Negotiations between the Frenchman and the Spanish grandee have been going on for a long time. It seems that PSG have already come to terms with the loss of their main star, who will leave the club as a free agent in the summer. However, a financial issue may become a stumbling block to the long-awaited transfer.
According to available information, the Mbappe family (the footballer’s mother Fayza Lamari is also his career consultant) currently receives about 200 million euros a year from the Parisian grandee, taking into account various bonuses and commissions.
In the new place, the Mbappe family wants to earn no less (or slightly less). Reportedly, we are now talking about an annual salary of 70 million euros, plus a bonus of 125 million, which in theory will allow Mbappe and his mother to earn up to half a billion in five years.
The transfer itself, given his future status as a free agent, will not cost Real anything. But whether Madrid will meet the requested salary with all the allowances is a big question. According to current information, the president of Los Blancos, Florentino Perez, is offering the 25-year-old footballer about 35 million euros “dirty”.
Real is waiting for a quick response from Mbappe and the conclusion of a preliminary agreement. If that doesn’t happen soon, Blancos could move on to other targets – such as Victor Osimhen (Napoli) or even Erling Haaland (Manchester City).
PSG is confidently leading in Ligue 1. Mbappe is the top scorer in the French championship by a wide margin (19 goals).
Real are second in La Liga, one point behind Girona and have a game in hand. On Saturday, January 27, Carlo Ancelotti’s team will play in the 22nd round of Primera Liga away against Las Palmas.
