Saudi Arabia and Thailand reached the 1/8 finals
Saudi Arabia tied with Thailand in the final round of Group F Asian Cup 2023 – 0:0. In the second match Oman did not retain victory over Kyrgyzstan – 1:1.
Roberto Mancini’s team guaranteed themselves access to the playoffs after the second round. A draw with Thailand allowed Saudi Arabia to take first place in the group.
Oman opened the scoring in the match with Kyrgyzstan in the eighth minute. The victory gave the team from the Arabian Peninsula a chance to advance to the playoffs from third place in the group. However, at the end of the meeting, Kyrgyzstan equalized the score and held the tie.
Saudi Arabia won Group F with 7 points, while Thailand finished second with five points. Oman remained in third place with two points and failed to qualify for the 1/8 finals of the Asian Cup.
