Kichenok paired with Ostapenko will play against Xie Shuwei / Elise Mertens in the final of the Australian Open
Ukrainian tennis player Lyudmila Kichenok commented on her debut appearance in the doubles final at Australian Open 2024.

In the 1/2 finals, the Ukrainian-Latvian tandem Lyudmila Kichenok / Elena Ostapenko beat the fourth seeded pair of the tournament – Gabriela Dabrowski / Erin Routliffe (Canada / New Zealand).
In the final of the event, Lyudmila and Elena will play with Xie Shuwei / Elise Mertens. A pair from China and Belgium received the second seed in Melbourne. The 2024 Australian Open doubles final will take place on January 28.
