CEO “Avant-garde” German Chistyakov told that the Omsk club arena already has successful experience in organizing figure skating competitions and shows, so the December Russian Championship in Omsk will be sold out.
On Friday, the general director of the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR), Alexander Kogan, told that the next national championship would be held in Omsk from December 25 to 29.
— Our arena hosted the second stage of the Russian Figure Skating Grand Prix in October 2023 and, according to representatives of the Figure Skating Federation, judges and participants, it was one of the best stages in recent times. First of all, thanks to the availability of the G‑Drive Arena and the people who work here to host events of this scale. Over the two days of the main competition, almost 18,000 people visited the stands: on the first day, more than eight thousand spectators came to the short program, and on the second day, more than nine thousand came to the free program.
I’m sure there will be the same excitement during the Russian Championship – Omsk residents love figure skating, all ice shows are sold out. And not so long ago in Omsk two modern hotels opened their doors to guests of the city. For their part, the club and the arena will do everything possible to make the December competition a plus – we already have the necessary experience for this. And the multifunctionality of the arena, its most comfortable conditions for participants and spectators will give everyone an excellent impression at the end of the championship. We’re waiting for everyone in December at the G‑Drive Arena! – Chistyakov told .
The G‑Drive Arena can accommodate 12,000 spectators.
