Russian cyclist Alexander Vlasov driving for the BORA‑Hansgrohe team, won second place in the Trofeo Serra de Tramuntana, which took place in Spain.
Belgian Lennert van Eetvelt of Lotto Dstny won the race, covering 153.8 km in 3 hours 34 minutes 43 seconds. Vlasov achieved the same time and came second, the leading trio being completed by the American Brandon McNulty (UAE Team Emirates, same time).
“I did a good job on the climb, but at the end of the sprint I made a mistake. Maybe I waited too long and ended up near the fence on the left. The legs are fine, and that is the most important thing today,” Vlasov said on the team website.
On Wednesday, Vlasov finished second in the Trofeo Calvio in Mallorca.
