“It’s okay, the world hasn’t collapsed” – the mother of figure skater Muravyova about her daughter’s second place at the Chechen Championship

Olga Muravyova, mother of a figure skater Sofia Muravyova believes that his daughter did not quite cope with her performance at the Russian Championship in Chelyabinsk.

The 17-year-old athlete became the silver medalist of the tournament, losing gold to Adelia Petrosyan.

— How did they perceive his second place at the Russian Championship? Were you very happy? Or did you always want the first one?

– Of course, everyone wants the most. Well, we still understand the situation, both in life and in figure skating. There are competitors, they are numerous, they are strong. The only question is how you will do your job and whether your competitors will do.

—Did Sonya succeed?

– Not really. There was an offensive error in the short program. But we must approach this question philosophically. The world did not collapse, nothing terrible happened. There are fatal mistakes in sport. This one is not fatal,” Sport24 quotes the athlete’s mother.

This season, Muravyova also won gold and bronze at the Russian Grand Prix. She trains at the academy of double Olympic champion Evgeni Plushenko.
