Russian divers can expect a shortage of modern springboards, coach says

In Russia, there may be problems with the supply of modern diving boards due to shell supply problems in the country, Svetlana Moiseeva, head coach of the Russian diving team, told RT.

— There are great difficulties with the supply of American equipment to Russia. We are trying to solve the problem via Italy, and we started to do so even before the start of the special operation, but everything is progressing very slowly. A springboard, where competitions can take place, costs 1 million 400 thousand rubles, and so far we have not even been able to pay for the equipment.

If you notice, Nikita Shleikher performed rear rack jumps from one springboard and running jumps from the other. This suggests that the quality of the board does not allow the athlete to fully reveal himself. Although on Lake Krugloye, where the final training camp was held, Nikita, like Evgeny Kuznetsov, showed the highest quality jumps, with which you can fight for medals at the World Championships, has said the coach.

At the end of February, the executive committee of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) recommended that federations not allow Russians and Belarusians to compete due to the situation in Ukraine.
