Figure skater Andrey Kutovoy said that in his free time outside of sports he writes books. He plans to publish one soon.
Kutovoy competed for the first time this season; the 18-year-old skater was previously recovering from an injury. At the St. Petersburg championship, he scored 224.39 points based on the results of two programs and is currently in third place.
– I’m high now. I heard the support from the public during my performance, it was very motivating. I am happy to return to competition. Tomorrow I have a day off, and then we’ll think about what’s next. Today, it is difficult to predict anything precise for the competition, everything evolves too quickly. I hope to be able to play again this season.
In my free time, I write. I’m writing my thoughts down on paper and writing a book that I hope to publish. This will be my second literary work. I won’t publish the first one, it’s too personal. The book will be a detective novel. It’s not fantasy – I don’t read that genre. The only thing I read was Stephen King, two of his novels. And so, I like fiction more. My favorite authors are Tolstoy, Dostoyevsky, Maria Corelli. While reading them, I realized that I wanted to write books. I am attracted by the process itself: putting my thoughts into words, sharing a story that people will then read and be inspired by, ”reports a correspondent, reporting Kutovoy’s words.
