The five-time Olympic champion achieved a result of 39 minutes 25.2 seconds, his compatriot Simen Kruger finished second (lag – 0.7 seconds), Frenchman Jules Lapierre (+12.0) closed the leading trio.
In the women’s mass start, the leader of the general classification of the World Cup, the American Jessica Diggins, won (45.26.3). Sweden’s Frida Carlsson (+0.6 seconds) and Switzerland’s Nadine Fendrich (+2.0) finished second and third respectively.
