According to Parker, Usyk has no chance against Fury
Former WBO world heavyweight champion Joseph Parker stated that he is fully confident in the victory of the WBC heavyweight title holder Tyson Fury over the holder of the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight belts Alexander Usik.
“I just think it’s great that the fight is actually locked in and will happen. This is a fight that has been talked about for a long time, we have never seen an undefeated and undisputed champion in a long time.”
“You know who I root for, you know who I support, I’m very biased in that sense. Even if I look at this fight from the other side, some bias will still remain. I just know that Tyson will take care of business and become the undisputed champion.”
The Usyk-Fury fight will officially take place on February 17. The title of absolute heavyweight champion will be at stake. The event will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The undercard of the Usyk-Fury fight will feature former IBF cruiserweight world champion Jay Opetaja, 19-year-old Itauma and IBF super featherweight world champion Joe Cordina.
Fury defeated Ngannou via split decision. It was reported that the Briton received two cuts in a fight with the former UFC champion.
Usik fought his last fight on August 27 in Wroclaw, Poland. The Ukrainian knocked out Daniel Dubois in the 9th round and defended his championship titles.
