Vicente Gomez: You can always expect new names in the national team, we are constantly looking

Assistant head coach Ukrainian national team Vicente Gomez attended a test match Polesie from Polish Steel from Mielec at a training camp in Spain.

Polesie tied with Stal in sparring (1:1). Ex-Dynamo Kyiv forward Ilya Shkurin scored for the Polish club. Artem Shabanov scored for the Zhytomyr team.

Earlier, the head coach of the Ukrainian national team, Sergei Rebrov, said that his headquarters was reviewing many players before forming the final application. According to the coach, 2-3 players compete for each position in the national team.

The Ukrainian national team will play away against Bosnia and Herzegovina in the semi-finals of the playoffs for the 2024 European Championship on March 21 in the city of Zenica, at the Bilino Pole stadium. If successful, Rebrov’s team will meet with the winner of the Israel-Iceland confrontation. The final match will be a “home” match for the blue-yellows and will take place on March 26.

Euro 2024 will take place in Germany from June 14 to July 14, 2024. The matches of the European Championship will be held in arenas in Berlin, Cologne, Dortmund, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Leipzig, Munich and Stuttgart.
