Athletistic/ Figure skating. Today, January 29, the CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sport) of Lausanne delivered its verdict in the case of Kamila Valieva. The Russian figure skater was disqualified for four years due to the presence of banned substances during her doping test. The start date of disqualification is December 25, 2021. At the same time, the court has not made a decision regarding the redistribution of gold medals in the team tournament of the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing. This decision is left to the IOC and the ISU.

The decision regarding team tournament medals will be made at the ISU meeting. According to Channel One, this will take place on February 7.

In the team tournament of the 2022 Olympics, the Russian team took first place, the American team second, the Japanese team third, and the Canadian team fourth.
