Athletistic/ Figure skating. Today, January 29, the CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sport) of Lausanne delivered its verdict in the case of Kamila Valieva. Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva has been disqualified for four years. The start date of disqualification is December 25, 2021. RUSADA reacted to this court decision.

– The sanction imposed by the CAS in the Valieva case exceeds the measures proposed by RUSADA in the appeal. Taking into account the rights of the parties to confidentiality of the full CAS decision, RUSADA cannot currently provide additional comments on this case, the press service of RUSADA SE reported.

Recall that in December 2021, Kamila Valieva passed a positive doping test during the Russian Championship in St. Petersburg. Information about this was made public during the 2022 Olympic Games, which took place in Beijing.
