Benfica with Trubin defeated Estrela

The Ukrainian goalkeeper missed a goal in the middle of the first half

Benfica beat on the road Estrelo in the 19th round match Portuguese Championship – 4:1.

Midway through the first half, Leo Jaba put the home team ahead. Before the break, Benfica not only came back, but also took the lead. The goals were scored by Arthur Cabral and Rafa Silva.

In the second half of the meeting, Nicolas Otamendi and Marcos Leonardo brought the score to a devastating one. Note that in the 71st minute Estrela remained in the minority – Regis N’Do received the second yellow card.

Benfica’s Ukrainian goalkeeper Anatoly Trubin spent the entire match on the field. This was the goalkeeper’s 26th game for the Eagles, in which he allowed 22 goals. In ten meetings, the Ukrainian kept a clean sheet.

Benfica took first place in the Portuguese championship, two points ahead of Sporting. The Lions will play against Casa Pia today. Estrela remained in 14th position in the standings.

Benfica’s next match will play Gil Vicente on February 4.
