For the first time in his career, Andrey reached the final of the World Cup in the open air – before that, 6 attempts were unsuccessful
Ukrainian high jumper Andrey Protsenko commented on his performance in qualifying for World Cup 2022 in athletics in the American Eugene.
“I am pleased with my performance. After all, this is the seventh time I have been at the World Championships, and before that I somehow did not work out – it was at the summer championships that I did not get into the final. This time it worked out, and I am full of desire to fight further.”
“Organization in Eugene is good. The accommodation is also not bad – these are, of course, not chic “suites”, but everything you need is there. In this regard, everything is fine.”
Recall that Protsenko reached the final of the high jump competition at the World Championships. The Ukrainian confidently overcame the qualification, taking a height of 2.28 meters on the first attempt.
The men’s high jump final will take place on July 18.
