Pokrovskaya: “I completely trust Vladimir Putin, for me he is the main candidate for the post of president of the country”

Head coach of the Russian synchronized swimming team Tatiana Pokrovskaya told she was on the list of trusted representatives Vladimir Poutine on the eve of the Russian presidential elections, because he fully trusts the current leader of the country.

On Tuesday, the Central Election Commission (CEC) announced that Pokrovskaya was included in the list of Putin’s confidants. Also included are two-time Olympic Greco-Roman wrestling champion Roman Vlasov, two-time Olympic fencing champions Sofia Velikaya and Sofia Pozdnyakova, two-time Olympic hockey champion Alexander Kozhevnikov, three-time Olympic synchronized swimming champion Olga Brusnikina, former coach of Russian national volleyball team Vladimir Alekno and others. There are a total of 198 names on the list.

— I was included in the list because I completely trust Vladimir Putin. We are waiting for him to be re-elected for a new term. For me, he is the main candidate (for the post of president of the country). Today is a serious day, there will be a session, orders, all the work is just beginning,” Pokrovskaya told .

The Russian presidential elections will be held from March 15 to 17, 2024.
