An experienced specialist, who won World Cup gold with Italy, has been working on the Dnepr coaching staff since last summer
Italian specialist Flavio Gulinelli officially appointed head coach men’s volleyball team Prometheus.
Let us remind you that the 65-year-old Italian joined the Dnipro coaching staff in the summer of 2023.
Gulinelli is a world-class specialist with more than 35 years of coaching career behind him. As an assistant, he won the Scudetto twice, the Club World Cup and a number of other trophies with Parma, as well as the 1998 World Cup with the Italian national team. The Italian led the teams of Austria, Portugal, Slovakia and Egypt, and twice became the champion of Greece at the head of Olympiacos.
Prometheus is the current champion of Ukraine. In the current Super League season, he ranks second, but leads in lost points.
In the 2023/24 CEV Cup, the team led by Andrey Levchenko reached the playoff round stage, where they dramatically lost to Fenerbahce (3:1, 0:3) and failed to make it to the quarter finals.
