The confidant of the current head of state in the upcoming elections will be the first vice-president of the Russian Hockey Federation and head coach of SKA Roman Rotenberg, two-time Olympic champion, legend of Spartak Moscow Alexander Kozhevnikov, as well as three- Danis Zaripov, one-time world champion and five-time winner of the Gagarin Cup.
The Russian presidential elections will be held from March 15 to 17, 2024. Vladimir Putin is running for the post of head of state for the fifth time. He had previously won the elections of 2000, 2004, 2012 and 2018. From 2008 to 2012, he served as Prime Minister of the country.
