Athletistic/ Figure skating. Today, January 29, Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva was disqualified for four years, starting from December 2021. This decision was made by the Court of Arbitration for Sport, finding the athlete guilty of violating anti-doping rules. Choreographer and coach Betina Popova spoke about it.
“Four years is a kind of exemplary flogging, I don’t understand why such a decision was made,” Popova said in an interview with RB Sport.
By court decision, Kamila Valieva will also be deprived of titles won after December 25, 2021.
