Russian figure skater Victoria Sinitsina who participated in the team tournament at the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing as a team with Nikita Katsalapov said she was very upset by the decision of the International Skating Union (ISU) to deprive the Russians of a gold medal.
On Monday, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) disqualified Kamila Valieva four years for anti-doping rule violations. The disqualification period begins on December 25, 2021. The ISU later announced that all of the athlete’s results from the date of sample collection had been canceled. This also led to a review of the results of the 2022 Olympics team tournament, where the Russian team won. First place is now awarded to the American team, the Japanese are second and the Russians will receive bronze.
“I turned my thoughts over in my head all day. And now it’s time to go to bed, and I always do.
I’ll get everything back tomorrow.
For now, I’ll just say that it’s very offensive!
Boomerang is back.
I like all the guys,” Sinitsina wrote on the Telegram channel.
Besides Valieva, Sinitsina and Katsalapov, Alexander Gallyamov/Anastasia Mishina and Mark Kondratyuk also competed as part of the Russian team at the team figure skating tournament.
Currently, Sinitsina and Katsalapov are performing in a series of Russian figure skater shows in China.
