Athletistic/Figure skating. Sports lawyer Anna Antseliovich assessed the Canadian team’s chances of challenging the decision of the International Skating Union (ISU) regarding the awarding of bronze medals to Russian figure skaters following the results of the tournament by team at the Beijing Olympics.

After the disqualification of Kamila Valieva and the revision of the competition results, Russia fell to third place. The Canadians remain in fourth place and Antseliovich believes they will first have to address the issue and overcome this obstacle. After that, they will have to convince the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) that the ISU’s decision was wrong and demand the disqualification of the entire Russian team. She expressed the opinion that there would be little chance of success in this case.

  • Germany reacted to Valieva’s disqualification for four years
