Usik’s sparring partner: Alexander will defeat Fury in the later rounds, or by decision of the judges

Darren Shealy is confident that the Ukrainian will be able to calculate the actions of the “Gypsy King”

Darren Shealysparring partner of the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO world champion Alexandra Usikabelieves that the Ukrainian will defeat the WBC title holder Tyson Fury.

“I think us taller fighters have an advantage in terms of punching and pace, which is great. But it also takes us a little longer to hit because we have such a long reach. It is necessary to monitor the tempo and number of strikes, change the rhythm and floors, using different strikes and angles. However, with Oleksandr Usyk and any other shorter fighter it can be difficult if he has really good pace.”

“Perhaps Fury will do well by staying the distance, but Usyk will need a few rounds to count him out like the master he is, after which Alexander will take over. I think he will win either in the later rounds or by unanimous decision. He is the best in boxing, the absolute champion in the first heavyweight division. And in less than a month he will become the absolute heavyweight champion.”

The Usyk-Fury fight will officially take place on February 17. The title of absolute heavyweight champion will be at stake. The event will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Usik fought his last fight on August 27 in Wroclaw, Poland. The Ukrainian knocked out Daniel Dubois in the 9th round and defended his championship titles.

Fury previously defeated Francis Ngannou via split decision. It was reported that the Briton received two cuts in a fight with the former UFC champion.
