The Spaniard will play for Wolves on loan until the end of the season
Roma announced the transfer of the RB Leipzig defender Angelino. The Spaniard prematurely terminated his lease agreement with Galatasaray, for whom he played in the autumn part of the season.
The 27-year-old defender will also play for Wolves on loan. Roma has the option to buy out the player’s contract at the end of the season. The defender will play in the new team under number 69.
Angelino previously played for PSV, Manchester City, Hoffenheim, and then moved to Leipzig. As part of the City team, the Spaniard was a competitor in position to the Ukrainian Alexander Zinchenko. In July 2023, Angelino joined Galatasaray.
This season, the defender played 19 matches for the Turkish club in all competitions, scoring one goal and giving one assist. Angelino has not played since mid-December after the Champions League match with Copenhagen, and is no longer included in Galatasaray’s squad.
Roma are in fifth place in Serie A with 35 points. Wolves’ next match will host Cagliari on February 5.
