Athletistic / Figure skating. Alena Leonova, silver medalist at the 2012 World Figure Skating Championships, commented on the disqualification of Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva. She was disqualified for four years for doping.

The Russian team won the team championship at the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing (China). But due to the disqualification of Kamila Valieva for doping, the Russian team was deprived of 20 points. As a result, the team dropped to 3rd place, losing gold medals.

“What should Camila do now? Don’t panic, accept this situation and move on. She is an incredibly talented person, so she is quite capable of revealing herself in something else during a disqualification.”

Alexander Enbert: “The fact that our skaters end up with Olympic medals is not the worst decision”

Valieva is so strong that she will be able to perform at a high level again even after disqualification. It is now important that she receives all the support possible.

I’m not just talking about loved ones, but also the public. Kamila must understand that she is not alone and that now all of Russia is with her,” Leonova quotes RB Sport.
