The agreement with the winger runs until June 30, 2027
Napoli officially announced the extension of the contract with one of its leaders, winger Matteo Politano.
According to the new agreement, the 30-year-old Italian will remain a Partenopean player until the end of June 2027.
Politano has been playing for Napoli since January 2020 – first on loan from Inter, and then on a full-time basis. This season, Matteo has seven goals and five assists in 29 matches for the club in all competitions.
Napoli, the reigning champions of Spain, are failing their domestic season. Recently, the team of Walter Mazzarri (who himself came to a club that was no stranger to himself during the season) went on a 4-match winless streak in all tournaments and is now in 9th place in Serie A. Last week, the Neapolitans lost to Inter in the final of the Italian Super Cup (0 :1).
Napoli will host Verona in their next match on February 4.
