Daria took third place in the epee competition
Ukrainian fencer Daria Varfolomeeva won a bronze medal at Qatar Grand Prix.
The Ukrainian took third place in the epee competition. In the semi-finals, Varfolomeeva lost to fifth seeded Italian Giulia Rizzi.
This is Daria’s debut bronze at the Grand Prix level. Previously, Varfolomeeva’s best result was 42nd place at the Budapest Grand Prix in 2022.
The Daria medal became the second for Ukrainian fencers in 2024. Earlier, Olga Kharlan won silver in the saber at a tournament in Orleans, France.
