Ukrainian won the World Athletics Indoor Tour competition in Cottbus
World champion in high jump Yaroslav Maguchikh won her first tournament in 2024. The Ukrainian won the World Athletics Indoor Tour competition in Cottbus, Germany.
Yaroslava missed the first marks and began her performance with a height of 1.90 meters, which she cleared on her first try. After the mark of 1.96 m, her only rival was the German Imke Onnen, who was unable to take the next mark.
Maguchikh, already in the status of a winner, continued her performances and on her second attempt cleared a height of 2.04 m. Yaroslava set a new season record and also repeated her third best result in her career.
The Ukrainian had her first start in the new year. Let us remind you that in December Maguchikh was recognized as the best athlete of Ukraine in the 2023 season.
