Atlas predicted a rematch between Usyk and Joshua

The specialist noted the factors that would affect the outcome of the second title fight.

Authoritative American coach Teddy Atlas shared his opinion about the second fight between WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champions Alexander Usik and Anthony Joshua.

According to the specialist, he believes the Ukrainian boxer will win the rematch.

“Usyk will win. I can’t fight Oleksandr. How can I fight him for no reason? Usyk is the undefeated cruiserweight world champion, unified all the titles and he’s the best cruiser in history, except Holyfield.”

Atlas compared the Ukrainian boxer to the legendary Holyfield.

“Usyk was an Olympic gold medalist, he didn’t know how to lose. Then Oleksandr came out and made an upset against a bigger fighter. Like Holyfield, who moved from cruiserweight to heavyweight to fight Buster Douglas. “

The specialist identified two possible rematch results, which are related to Usyk’s readiness for the match.

“Oleksandr came out, did his thing and defeated Joshua. Usyk would fight with more power, more driving, more motivation, or after seeing his cities turned to rubble, he could look at it. in this way: “In the plan of life, boxing is not that important,” Boxing 247 quoted Atlas.

It will be recalled that the rematch of Usyk and Joshua will take place on August 20 in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) at the Super Dome arena.

In the first match, which took place in September 2021, Usyk defeated Joshua by unanimous decision, winning the championship belt.
