Athletistic / Figure skating. The judges of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) have qualified Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva. She was found guilty of violating anti-doping rules and disqualified for four years.

As the Times reports, citing CAS reasoning, Valieva made a positive impression on the judges. Members of the CAS committee found the athlete “honest and trustworthy”.

American figure skater Hubbell reacted to Valieva’s disqualification

Some CAS members considered that a four-year ban was too harsh and disproportionate. However, this is precisely the decision that was made.
